Use this tool to update existing NFTs with newly generated metadata. This is useful when you need to change the name, description, image, or attributes of NFTs that are already minted.

Your Collection must have the Metadata Key set to update NFT metadata after minting. However, if you are the Treasury Account, you can update the metadata of NFTs that are in your possession without needing the Metadata Key.
What you'll need
- Token ID β The Collection (Token ID) containing the NFTs you want to update.
- NFT Serial Numbers β Which specific NFTs to update.
- New Metadata β The updated name, description, image, attributes, etc.
- Metadata Key β Required to sign the update operation.
How it works
The update process generates new metadata CIDs for your selected NFTs and replaces the existing metadata references on-chain. The old metadata remains on IPFS but is no longer linked to the NFTs.
Step-by-step process
Enter your Token ID
Input the Token ID of the Collection containing the NFTs to update.
Select NFTs to update
Choose which NFTs (by serial number) you want to update with new metadata.
Define new Metadata
Fill in the updated metadata details: name, description, image, attributes, and any additional files.
Sign and confirm
Review the changes and confirm the transaction. The Metadata Key is required to authorize the operation.
If you created the Collection using Account Mode (your account's public key), Kabila Wallet will automatically detect it and you'll only need to sign the transaction with your connected account β no need to manually enter any private key.
Already have updated CIDs? Use Update w/ Existing Metadata instead.
